Sergio Rocha

Sérgio Rocha is an agricultural engineer, founder, and CEO of Instituto Cidade Jardim Ltda., a pioneer in the green roof market in Brazil, with over 125,000 square meters installed since 2008.

With a branch in Barcelona, ​​Spain (Garden City Institute SL), he is the developer of KAATOP— patented world’s first plantable tile, a product for green roofs/walls and urban agriculture that functions as a sealing element. A board member of the World Green Infrastructure Network from 2020 to 2022, he is co-author of the book “Multifuncional Urban Green Infrastructure.”
