Farayde Matta Fakhouri

Co-founder and CSO of Spin-off Bio2Coat S.L., that deals with natural food preservation and edible packaging for food. Bio2Coat emerged within the Universitat Politécnica da Catalunya, created on December 22, 2020.
She is a specialist in environmentally friendly biodegradable materials (bioplastics and bio-composites), with antimicrobial and antioxidant properties, made from renewable resources (natural sources) and oriented towards industrial applications such as food packaging and edible coatings, products made of flexible films, rigid sheets and foams, produced by both the casting technique and the thermoplastic extrusion or through moulding or pressing.
