Expo Agritech 2025 sets the course for cutting-edge European agriculture
Over the course of three days, the trade fair showcased 604 pioneering solutions in advanced machinery, smart irrigation systems, agroenergy, precision farming and biofertilizers to improve crop profitability. At the AgriTech 4.0 Congress, the experts gathered shared insights on the potential of AI, robotics, soil regeneration, new talent and public-private collaboration to ensure the competitiveness of the Spanish agricultural sector.
This edition was the most experiential to date, bringing together 217 exhibiting companies in the exhibition area, which presented 604 innovations in state-of-the-art equipment, more efficient irrigation and water management systems, post-harvest equipment, precision farming, agroenergy, biofertilizers and other Crop 4.0 initiatives. In addition, the event featured various immersive areas such as Farm 4.0, Olive Grove 4.0 and the Tech Greenhouse, showcasing the opportunities offered by technological adoption across different types of crops. Activities were also held in collaboration with La Vega Innova, including a hackathon that launched a challenge focused on subtropical crop management, as well as a virtual reality training session on almond tree pruning.
Likewise, the trade fair hosted the AgriTech 4.0 Congress, Europe’s largest agricultural innovation forum, which brought together 412 speakers, including leaders from well-known companies such as Danone, PepsiCo, COVAP, ANECOOP, ASAJA, Cerealto, Cooperativa La Palma, Deoleo, Grupo Alsur, Grupo Perichán, Terranovus, Trops, Europistachios, Grupo Palacios and Kölla. In its auditoriums, experts explored the digital initiatives driving the modernization of the sector, such as AI, robotics and sensor technology. They also highlighted the potential of regenerative agriculture to improve soil health, the latest developments in the carbon market, and strategies to attract talent to agriculture, with voices including agro-influencers.
